What decides the price
Four things move the price more than anything else. The first is pages. Three pages take less time than ten, and every page needs words, design and testing.
The second is design. A site designed around your business takes longer than a template with your logo on it. Both can look good, but only one is built around how your customers choose.
The third is features. A contact form is simple. Online payments, bookings and shops are a different job and are quoted separately.
The fourth is what you bring. Your own logo, photos and words make the build faster. If someone has to write the words or sort the photos, that is part of the work and part of the price.
What our websites cost
These are the same prices you see on our Pricing page. Each level starts with a homepage designed for your business, and your quote is confirmed in writing before work starts.
The monthly cost
Every website needs somewhere to live. Our hosting and care is R350 a month from month two. It covers hosting, basic maintenance, a short monthly report and a review of your site's numbers with our recommendations.
Your site and your domain are yours, so you are never paying rent on something you do not own.
What to watch for with any designer
Some designers charge a monthly fee for a site you never own, so that if you stop paying it disappears. Ask whether you own the site and all its files once you have paid in full.
Some host your site on their own account and keep the files. Ask whether you can move your site to another host at any time and whether you will be given the files.
Your domain should be registered in your name, with you holding the login.
Most designers include a few rounds of changes and charge for more. Ask how many rounds are included and what an extra round costs.
Eight questions to ask before you pay
Do I own the website and all its files once I have paid in full? Is my domain registered in my name? What does the monthly fee include? What happens if I cancel?
How many rounds of changes are included? Who writes the words? What exactly is in the quote? What is not?
What to do next
If you want a price for your business, book a discovery call. We ask about your business and your customers, then send a detailed written quote. Nothing starts until you agree it.
